Growing in Grace

At Church in the Word, we value our seniors. Like a cedar tree that grows stately, upright and strong, we see men and women in their senior years the same way. As they live each day for Jesus Christ, they will bear fruit throughout these special years.

Growing in Grace is our senior's ministry. Its mission is to fellowship with others of like age, uplift and support those in need, communicate God's heart of faithfulness, and seek practical and spiritual ways to share His Love with the community.

Seniors are vital and valuable! This ministry strives to honor, encourage and recognize the contributions of this part of Christ's Body as they continue to grow in grace.

The focus of scheduled events and outreaches varies from Travel and Vacation Tips to Beauty and Relaxation Techniques; from Finances and Investments to Health and Nutrition. Regular trips and tours are planned throughout the year as well as frequent group visits to community nursing homes and care facilities. Many residents of these homes have come to know their Savior through the ministry of Growing in Grace.
